All grant applications must be completed using our online application forms.

The link will take you to the login page where you will be asked to sign in, if you are a returning applicant, or create a new account. Each grant application form is divided into 5 sections:

 

A) Introduction: some practicalities in completing the online application form

B) Organization Contact Information: executive and primary contact info

C) Organization Profile: i.e. primary activities, people served, major sources of income

D) Proposal Description: i.e. project overview, rationale, requested amount, timeline

E) Attachments: required documents are listed and uploaded here

 

Please make sure all fields are filled out in full and all supporting documentation has been included before submitting your application.

Higher Education - Next accepting applications in 2025

This program is open to Conestoga College, Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo. Preference is given to projects focused on child and youth development, increasing access to higher education for under-represented students, and strong community connections.

Children’s Initiatives - Next accepting applications in 2026

This program supports projects aimed at healthy child development for children aged 0 – 12 in Waterloo Region. Applications accepted from registered charities* located in and serving Waterloo Region. Prevention and early-intervention strategies are given preference.

Children & Youth Capital - Next accepting applications in 2025

This program supports capital projects that increase access to social and recreational facilities and programs for children and youth aged 0 – 16 from low-income families in Waterloo Region. Applications accepted from registered charities* in Waterloo Region, for support of facilities and infrastructure in Waterloo Region.

Healthcare

This program is open to Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital.  Grants may be given for capital needs, program development and training and professional development.
