Through collaborations across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors, the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation engages with thought leaders, grantees, stakeholders, and other funders to address complex challenges.
In 2008, the Foundation partnered with the Waterloo Region Record, the Cambridge and North Dumfries Community Foundation, and The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation to increase the opportunities for children from low-income families in Waterloo Region to attend summer camp. Each year charitable organizations may apply for a grant through the two community foundations toward providing camp sponsorships.
